 Today I took my amer/lit eoc I think I did pretty good. Today we started on our final exam career project.

 Today I was absent from school before I had a doctors appointment to attend  to.

 Today we finished our benchmark test. I think I did pretty good on them.

 Today we took the fourth benchmark exam. We really aren’t doing any work since we are taking our eoc next week. I am ready to take the eoc because I always pass it.

 Today in class we read the book color purple. We also picked our people to do our play on. I got picked as Shug Avery. I have to find a dress that she has on or similar. We also visited the gym to pick our pathway.

 Today in class we talked a-lot about our futures. Knowingly that we are juniors in high school we should start preparing early and being informed on colleges. We talked about graduation rates of Georgia colleges. We also calculated the cost of the tuition of our future colleges. We went over a writing prompt that pertains to The eoc as well.

 Today we learned about why blacked owned business are important. We talked about restaurants. We also talked about how they affect the black community positively. We did a project. We also had an open class discussion on the Travis Scott concert

 Today we read a poem from a book called the love story proofrock. In this story the man was very insecure. He was so insecure he was scared to talk to the fancy women. He thought they would point out all the bad things about him. After we too on a quiz which was multiple choice. We used multiple choice to help us find the answers.

 Today we read chapters 46-50 in class. We didn’t have a bell ringer for today. After we had to answer questions. Something interesting about todays chapters is Celie and Shug shared secrets. Also mr does not beat Celie anymore

 Today we talked about gender. We talked about roles each gender plays. We also shared how society views them. Most of the answers made women seem weak. In my opinion I feel as if they make men seem more strong than woman because woman are more empathic.

 Today we read chapters 22-35 in class. Harpo and Sophia broke up. Harpo didn’t want Sophia to go but he didn’t do anything to stop her from leaving. Harpo treats Sophia as a dog and she can’t take anymore. Also Shug Avery is going to stay with ceilie because she is now aware of Mr beating her.

Letter 23

 What I noticed about letter 23 is that he allows shug Avery to talk to him in a way that Celie doesn’t. Also Mr thinks that celie will try to jeopardize shug Avery being there. Which is ironic because you’d expect the wife to be jealous but celie is actually excited and happy. Celie has finally found out what Mr name was in these two letters as well. She even got to see shug Avery naked which makes this letter a good letter for her.

Letter 22

 What stands out to me in letter 22 is when Mr told celie that Mr was an old friend of the family. He lied to celie which means he doesn’t value her enough to tell her the truth. It also makes him disrespectful because when they went to get shug Avery out of the wagon he told harpo that shug Avery should have been his mammy. He even let shug Avery disrespect celie by letter her call her ugly and he didn’t even say anything. This makes me feel like ceilie is very weak because if she can’t stand up for herself no one will ever respect her tap tap eight tap

Today I went to school & had a little rip in my jeans and got sent home  as I walked in the building. Not only was that childish but it caused me to miss THE WHOLE DAY OF SCHOOL. While I was out of school today for a pair of jeans I cleaned my room. I also washed most of my clothes and folded them.

 So today in class we continue our presentation with our group. We named our groups by teams and we created a competition for the people who answer the most questions. My group name is panthers. We are in the league because we answer them most. For our bell ringer we got to listen to our songs that relate to our life right now.

 So today we presented our group assignment. My position was questionier. We had these positions to help us better understand the story. I had to create 5 critical thinking questions. I made 1 question a connection question. The other 4 were based off of the letter in the story.

 Today we continued on the book of The color purple. Celie is going to marry Mr. Nettie starts to push celie hard to do school. We also had a bell ring he regarding our message to god. This connected to the story because Celies openings are misting letter to god.
